You might think, after looking over this blog, that this girl lives in a fairy tale land. You might be right! However, I also live in the real world as well. I have been married to my hubs for 21 years this year (2021) and counting. Is he a Prince Charming who rode in on a white stallion and rescued me away from the horrible life I lead? No! He is far from it.
The most romantic thing he did, romantic meaning worldly romantic, was bought me a dozen roses for my birthday before we got married. I grew up dreaming of romance, dreaming of how we are supposed to be whisked away, and how men are supposed to do this or that.
LADIES, that is so worldly! Why not be the one to create romance? Most men are not creative in that aspect. My husband can create the most incredible works of art you have ever seen with making primitive bows or making arrowheads. He can paint designs. He can create amazing works of art but ask the man to do something romantic...yeah, not happening. And I am so okay with that!
I get so frustrated at reading posts about how women deserve this from a man or that from a man. We women are so entitled. And it is WRONG! The only thing our men should be is man of God. He should be respectful of his wife and love her unconditionally. That is FAR more than we deserve.
If you want roses or you want a romantic get away. Do it!
Here I will post ideas of how to be romantic when they come along.
