                                                                                                                 πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

YOU, ME, AND THE CHRISTMAS TREES
Starring Danica McKeller and Benjamin Ayres

This movie is about a girl., Olivia, who loves Evergreens and becomes an expert on them. She is called last minute to help Jack, who owns a many generation family Christmas Tree Farm.
Olivia comes from a home that is more about show than traditions  coupled with calling off a December wedding, she is definitely lacking in Christmas Spirit.
When she meets Jack, his family, his friends, she discovers what Christmas truly means all while helping him save his tree farm.
POSITIVES: Hallmark delivers again with another great, heartwarming story. Who wouldn't fall in love with Jack's mom and his friends? Elliot, played by Billy Wickman, is a great best friend/brother and is really well written as well as well acted.
You can never go wrong in my mind on a Christmas Tree Farm in a small town.
Peggy, Jack's mom, played by Linda Darlow, is everything you want in a mom and more especially with her epic hugs!
NEGATIVES: I really can not say negatives, I should change that wording. I think the things I didn't like were the Facetime calls. I didn't like the camera angles on them where they were talking directly into the camera. It was weird.
Dwayne, the villain of this movie was over dramatized but it worked in my book. He was comical.

  THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:
Was there snow?  ✔
Was there a first kiss attempt? Nope
Was there an event? ✔✔✔
Who had the Christmas Spirit? Jack
Were there parents in Florida? Nope!

   Overall thoughts:
This movie may not be the number one movie on my list but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was fun. It was full of Christmas. And there was an underlying message that I received.
Here are some quotes I enjoyed:
"We can either choose to embrace the future or resist it. I pick embrace." Harry
"You can't expect your parents to solve a problem that they don't even know they have." Peggy
"Christmas isn't something to get through, it's something to treasure." Olivia.
I think that we often feel things or avoid things because we are scared to hurt someone's feelings or scared of what the future may hold. I think that we need to find a way to communicate what we are feeling, truly feeling, with sincerity and let people know what the problem is so we can work to create a solution for all of us. I think if we realize we are all unique creations and all have varying ideas, we can learn to love and embrace them and then we can love our Christmas. Just my own thoughts!
I would recommend this movie for sure!!

CHRISTMAS IN MY HEART
Starring Luke Macfarlane and Heather Hemmens

This was an incredibly heartfelt movie. Luke Macfarlane plays a Country Music star, Sean, who is hiding away with his daughter since his wife had passed. His daughter, played by Maria Nash, loves playing violin.  They meet Beth,  Heather Hemmens, who is a professional violinist. As they work together through his movie, they all move through loss and find their passion again.

PS...  Who knew Luke could sing?

I don't want to say much more about this movie because this is a must see in my book.

POSITIVES: I loved everything about this movie from the music, to the country home, to Sean's flannel shirts! Maria Nash steals this show with her bright smile! The passion that is acted on stage while the orchestra plays is incredible, left me wondering who actually plays and who is acting? And grandma Ruthie, we all need her in our lives!  The acting in this movie was spot on! Not just the main actors either, all of them. And chemistry.....ooh la la. You can feel the chemistry between Sean and Beth.

THE NOT POSITIVES: I don't really have any. It wasn't long enough!? The only snow was fake... :)

 THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:
Was there snow?  ✔Sort of?
Was there a first kiss attempt? Nope
Was there an event? ✔✔✔
Who had the Christmas Spirit? They all had a little.
Were there parents in Florida? Nope!

Overall thoughts: I think this is a movie that most people can relate to. Even if you don't enjoy music, I still think there is something here. Most of us have felt loss, felt sadness, and this movie shows how to connect to people which brings healing.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                                                                 πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŒ²

BOYFRIENDS OF CHRISTMAS PAST
Starring Catherine Haena Kim and Raymond Ablack

Let the puns begin!  This movie is about Lauren, who has past hurt that is keeping her from experiencing love and her best friend Nate who you can see obviously loves her.  Through a series of visits from boyfriends past and through her friends and family, she realizes what is wrong with her life and begins to heal. I must say, Tyler, the first boyfriend, stole this show.

POSITIVES:  The friend group is quite amazing, one I think most of us wish we had. Her dad is incredible as well as his wife. The story line is one we can all relate to even if our deep seated hurt is different than hers.

NOT SO POSITIVES: The chemistry was off in the beginning but I do think it was intentional. It was a slower start for me but I am glad I watched the whole thing. It was worth it.

 THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:
Was there snow? yes
Was there a first kiss attempt? Nope
Was there an event? ✔✔✔
Who had the Christmas Spirit? It really wasn't a theme.
Were there parents in Florida? Nope!

Overall thoughts: I think this movie is fun to watch as well as comforting. There are some lessons to be had in this movie. First one that I gathered was from her best gal friend who was so worried about her decorations at home. We are always so worried if our house is clean enough or fancy enough or whatever enough but the truth is, and you can see this with the orphans, the truth is, we just need other people. It shouldn't be a competition or something to worry about, it should be about loving people.

The second one was obviously Lauren's mom issues. It is definitely evident that people need other people. We need to be open and honest about our feelings and our hurts with those that we love. Hurt causes deep wounds that only can be healed by love from others.

PS...who on earth has an alarm like that? Just asking!

   I do recommend this movie!!

THE SANTA STAKEOUT

Starring Tamera Mowry-Housley and Paul Campbell

And Joe Pantoliano

Right from the start you could see this was a different kind of Hallmark movie.  This movie is so sweet, comical, and endearing. You fall in love with every character you meet!   The Santa Stakeout is about two detectives who go undercover to watch a suspect in a burglary case. From there, it turns into a fun story about a newlywed couple in a new neighborhood meeting very comical neighbors. Get a cup of cocoa and settle in for an adventurous movie. BE WARNED: if you are looking for an overly romantic movie, this is not the one.

 THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? Nope but a second kiss attempt

Was there an event?  Not exactly but many fun mini events

Who had the Christmas Spirit? Tasha and the neighborhood

Were there parents in Florida? No, however it was mentioned

POSITIVES: The neighbors, Santa, the friendship and bickering between Tasha and Ryan, I mean, I could go on and on. This is just full of fun!

THE NOT SO POSITIVES: I really don’t have any other than it ended!

My favorite quotes!

“Oh in your candy coated Christmas dreams.” Ryan.

“Just remember the best part of Christmas… The people we share it with. The moments we share with the people we love.Well, theyre like snowflakes. They’re beautiful and perfect, and mm, no two are alike. “ Mr. Miller.

‘All I can say is being fake married to you has had its ups and downs.” Tasha

This is not a gushy romance movie and I LOVED IT! It was so refreshing to have a different type of Christmas movie from Hallmark. This is a top movie for me. I am not going to write too much because I insist you grab a cocoa, sit back, and enjoy!

                                                                                                      πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŒ²

CHRISTMAS IN HARMONY
Ashleigh Murray and Luke James

This movie is about a singer who turned her back on her own voice to help others chase their dreams. She goes home and winds up helping the church choir alongside her old flame. As they try to save the mission, they grow closer and old wounds as well as new wounds are opened.

 THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

POSITIVES: Take me to church! This is a soulful movie with a deep message of faith and of God. There is definite chemistry between Harmony and  Kyle. These were new actors for me and I was highly impressed and glad to see new faces.
THE NOT SO POSITIVES: A little slow in the beginning.

If you love music, gospel music, and love soulful movies, this is the movie for you. A lot of incredible songs, some heart to hearts, fun family scenes, and of course, love. This is a really good movie and again, the music, wow! A huge theme of following your dreams!  However, if you are not into music or gospel, this might not be your jam. I say, try it out though!

THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
Torrey DeVitto, Dylan Bruce, and Patrick Duffy

This is an endearing movie about Nic, Torrey DeVitto, who loses her fiancΓ© at Christmas. She hires a contractor to finish their house so she can sell meanwhile talking to an anonymous person through text who helps her through her grief.

COYOTE CREEK CHRISTMAS

This is a movie about a gal who goes home to her families lodge and finds out it may be her last Christmas there as her parents are selling. She meets the investor and both of their plans get rearranged for the better!

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? Not exactly

Was there an event? Yes

POSITIVES: Filiming location. The father and son dynamic. Noah, the son played by Azriel Dalman steals most of this show! The chemistry. The events. A lot to love about this one!

THE NOT SO POSITIVES: I don't really have any about this one either! Another win!

Memorable quotes:

"We're men of simple tastes. Just give us the open road and gas stations with good snacks." Noah.

"You are a complete and utter buffoon." Noah.

This movie will wrap around you like a cozy blanket. It is warm and Christmassy all over. So many characters to fall in love with. You feel like family while watching this movie. I really think you should grab a hot peppermint cocoa and press play!

THE CHRISTMAS SAIL

Katee Sackhoff, Patrick Sabongui

This is a charming movie about a girl who goes home to help her dad finding out he needs more help than she knew. She brings Christmas into his life and along the way, she reconnects with her old family and friends. This is yet another puntastic movie!

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? a little

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? Yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? most everyone except one

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Family dynamics are amazing in this movie. I love when you can actually see a change in a character. Love the coast scenes.

Im doing away with the not so positives. I have a hard time criticizing Hallmark movies, but if there is something, I will be sure to add it in.

**** I think it would have been amazing to show more of the lighted boats...or maybe a side note for Hallmark, having an entire show dedicated to a lighted boat parade! πŸŽ„

This movie did not have an incredible amount of back story detail but you guess the important things and that is what I liked. I do love a good movie with deep back history, but this was a perfect amount. The actors were all really good and there are some great characters. I love the ability of this family to overcome it's past and come together to heal and move forward. Well done! I think this movie will be something a lot of us can relate to especially during the Christmas season. Don't turn your back on Christmas because someone you loved who loved this time of year has passed. Cling to those memories and delight in the joy of the season.

GINGERBREAD MIRACLE

Merrit Patterson, Jon Michael Ecker

This movie is about a bakery that is the heart of the town. Not just any bakery either, but one who's gingerbread cookies may just come along with miracles or wishes. In order to get this bakery ready to sell, Maya and Alex have to work together to get through some festive events all while finding a prospective new owner.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? not technically, there was talk

Was there an event? Yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSTIVES: the friendship of Alex and Maya! TOP NOTCH! Who couldn't love Luis, played by Jorge Montesi. He is the uncle everyone would love. So many positives to choose from. Hallmark is on a roll this year!

This is another one I would definitely suggest. There are so many fun festive events and laughter, so much history and culture. The story line is just amazing. Again, I love the friendship between the characters that you see and feel first and foremost before the romance gets in there!I will be watching this one again for sure!!! I think so far, this is on my top two list!!!

This movie could be a trigger movie but wow, does it have some great advice on moving forward in life and focusing on joy! I would highly recommend this movie to basically anyone! I would also recommend a box of tissues just in case you cry like I did! But, it definitely ends with an incredible happy ending! Another great job, Hallmark!

And you even get to see Tyler Hynes make a cameo.

ONE DECEMBER NIGHT

Eloise Mumford, Brett Dalton, Peter Gallegher, and Bruce Campbell

This is a movie about two music managers coming together to get their clients/dads back together for one concert after they had a falling out.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? yes

Was there an event? yes

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: From a red truck, to the singing, to the family dynamics, to the waitress who steals lot of this movie, this one has it all. It shows the real raw pain of living with an alcoholic. It also shows the pain of finding out your loved one has Alzheimers. This is a very healing movie in so many ways!!!

As said above, this movie shows how important it is to heal and move on. That memories and loved ones are so far more important than a falling out. Making a mends is such a powerful thing to do and so healing for all parties. This one hit a lot of things in my life from the alcoholic father to a loved one with Alzheimer's. I will be watching this one again. You might need a little tissue for some of this if you deal with those things too! Powerful!!!! Great job Hallmark!

She looks so beautiful and healthy!

This is about a husband, father, who wishes he had made a different decision when he was younger that would have provided his family with more, only he doesn't realize that that one decision would change everything, including the things he loves.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? he does for sure

Were there parents in Florida? Yes!

POSITIVES: Not only was this just a great movie but the lessons in this movie are incredible. Great actors, great story line, amazingly perfect Santa! What is not to love. And how Ethan acts when he see's his office fireplace is just spectacular! Totally something I would do!

Settle down with a cocoa for this one and prepare to fall in love. This is just not a typical romance but a movie about falling back in love and realizing what matters most in life. So many people, especially during the holiday season, wish they had more of this, more of that, more money when the things that truly matter are right in front of them. May we all never take for granted the ones we love and the ones who love us. May we always treat them with the most respect and love everyday of the year. This is a MUST watch!

The Nine Kittens of Christmas

Brandon Routh, Kimberley Sustad

If you watched The Nine Lives of Christmas, this movie is a must! But even if you haven't, you could still watch this and understand. Marilee had moved away and has become a vetranarian but returns home and realizes she misses home. Zach has stayed at the fire station and has plans to go skiing for the holidays but these kittens have other plans! Cats and the kittens have a way of bringing these two back together.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone but him

Were there parents in Florida? maybe***

POSTIVES: Kittens, who doesn't love kittens. The chemistry and awkwardness between Zach and Marilee is wonderful. I have always loved these two and their awkward chitchat.

There are a few scenes that were not necessary like the baking with the two sisters, while endearing, was a little overdone. Otherwise, great one!

I would definitely say this is a fun one to settle down and watch. Again, even if you haven't seen the first one, you will be okay, but you plan on watching both, watch them in order. I wish I would have rewatched the first one before watching this one. So much fun!

***It took a few days after watching to write this so in all honesty, I can not remember. I feel like there was because I was so excited someone was in FL but I can not say for sure ;)

AN UNEXPECTED CHRISTMAS

Tyler Hynes, Bethany Joy Lenz

Emily has an assignment in a small town where Jamie, her ex boyfriend's family lives. When she gets off the train, there is Jamie and his family who take her home because they are unaware that they every broke up. What follows is quite the funny story.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes sort of

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Andrew Walker cameo, these two!!! You gotta love this Bromance. The lies that are told are hilarious. The bickering, the funny stories, the script was very well written!

This is on my top ten list for sure and closer to one than most. I will definitely be watching this one again. It has humor, fun, an incredible family, the brother/sister aspect is top notch. This movie has it all. and you can never go wrong with Tyler and Bethany! Plus a little Andrew!

MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Taylor Cole, Carlo Marks

This is a fun family movie about two families who are rivals, your typical Hatfields and McCoys of  the Christmas decorating world but they children have become friends and through some obstacles, they have to learn to work together.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes sort of

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: This is a fun movie with lots of Christmas lights and family dynamics. Tenderhearted moments, funny moments, and who doesn't love the actors!!!

For me, it started a little slow but definitely worth watching!

This is another movie that we could learn from about mending broken relationships. All to often, they ended over something so minute and minuscule, I love movies about mending relationships. This has it all, fun, funny, romance, family, and Christmas.

TIME FOR THEM TO COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Brendan Penny,  Jessy Schram

This movie is about "Jane" who falls into a river and wakes up with no memories of her life. She embarks on a journey with Paul and her memories eventually come back. She realizes her life is full of wonderful memories but missing a big piece.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Endearing, heartfelt, romantic, and mending of broken hearts, this movie has it all. And good country music if that is your thing!

Get a cup of peppermint cocoa, a blank, and some tissue and settle in for a good one. This movie has mystery and love and forgiveness. Lots of great characters on their journey. I think you will enjoy!!!

Christmas CEO

Marisol Nichols, Paul Greene

Christmas, Marisol Nichols, owns a toy company and gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to merge with a huge company but in doing so, she has to consult with her long lost best friend, Paul Greene, who owns part of her company. Santa may have other ideas!

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there an event? yes sort of

Who had the Christmas Spirit? he did

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Toys, who doesn't love toys! Paul's character is so lovable and so fun. He brings life to this movie!

I think this was a good movie but it lacked chemistry for me. Paul was a great actor and you could see his chemistry and charisma but that is where it stopped for me. I was not sold on Marisol's acting. It could totally be me though. I wasn't totally into it. I think it was a good one timer and I encourage you to check it out because we are all different!

THE CHRISTMAS CONTEST

Candace Cameron Bure, John Brotherton

Two exes compete in a Christmas themed event but along the way, old memories reappear and familiar faces warm their hearts.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Who doesn't love Candace. She is a great actress and always brings such a warm inviting presence on the camera. Lots of fun events.

I really was not into this one. I just found the two of them off as a couple. Maybe it is because I am not a fan of full house or maybe I have watched way too many Christmas movies this year. The supporting actors were all great! It was definitely not a bomb of a movie.  It was a good movie in general, just not my cup of cocoa!

CHRISTMAS IN TAHO

Laura Osnes, Kyle Selig, Pat Monahan, and George Lopez

A young girl who works at her families hotel desperately wants to work for a bigger place in charge of the talent booker. She is in charge of the hotels Christmas event but as her plans fall through, she enlists the help of her ex boyfriend who is a guitar player in a rock band.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? sort of

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSTIVES: Great story line. PAT MONAHAN! Snow.

Some of the "talent" in my opinion was not that great.

This is a great movie about not knowing what you have until you take a good look. Sometimes, what you are searching for is right there in front of you. Great storyline. And having Pat perform was awesome. Favorite part was when he was singing alone in the theater-epic. George adds such warmth and comfort.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Ireland, filmed on location. River Dancing. Pubs. Scenery. The acting.

I went into this movie expecting not to like it because I don't really like "royal" movies. It's been overdone. HOWEVER, I loved this movie. I should have not doubted it, as most Lacey movies are great. This movie moved me! I loved it. And the MUSIC!!! At 1:45 the instrumental music was AMAZING! Christopher Guglick, great job!!!!

EIGHT GIFTS OF HANUKKAH

Jake Epstein, Inbar Lavi

Sara, Inbar Lavi, starts receiving gifts every night of Hanukkah from a secret admirer. She has no idea who it is.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt?

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? Hanukkah!

Were there parents in Florida? Yes, finally

POSTIVES: Great family aspects, mystery for her, desire for him, and a story you can view through multiple views!  The friendship is so believable! Even if you do not know a lot about Hanukkah, this is a really good movie!

This was a very endearing movie about a deep friendship that would be an amazing foundation for more but she is blinded by other men while he is scared to tell her. While you know who it is, this is a great movie and you can see her trying to figure it out while falling for the right guy along the way. Lots of great supporting actors! I would recommend this movie to anyone, even those who are not into Hanukkah.

A VERY MERRY BRIDESMAID

POSTIVES: The brother sister dynamic is great in this. The best friendship between Leah and Drew is fantastic. Her best friends are great. The acting is so good! You really believe this story is it is acted out.

Grab a hot peppermint mocha and settle down. This movie was great! It had humor, romance, surprises, and family love. I think you would really like this. I am a huge Emily fan so having her join our Hallmark family is wonderful!!

Who had the Christmas Spirit? Mama :)

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Great acting, scenery, and story line. New actors are introduced. A different take on romance which was refreshing.

This is one for the books. You may need tissues, especially if you have a child leaving the house or a special needs child. This movie really tugs on your heartstrings. I was right there with her about letting her son go off on his own but towards the end, I was like, "Girl, let him go, he is going to be great!" Great movie!

****Almost red truck alert, faded red truck alert :)

POSITIVES: The family dynamics, the reconciling of relationships, the traditions passed on, the memories of lost ones all add to the Positives!!!

Grab some cocoa and a blanket for this one. I needed a tissue because adoption is near and dear to me and the mom in this movie reminded me so much of my mom who adopted me. This movie had adventure, multiple romances, and fun!

SISTER SWAP: A HOMETOWN HOLIDAY

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams

Two sisters decided to stay in the other sisters homes and help out with the other sisters events. Along the way, they realize what it is that is missing in their lives. In this one, we get to follow Jennifer as she is back home and dealing with the death of her uncle. She and her son have huge decisions to make. This is a part of a series of Sister Swaps.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

POSITIVES: The Williams sisters! They are so much fun and together it is even better. They don't have to fake the sibling bond because it is real. The storyline is wonderful as is the set and the old movie theater!

If you are impatient, you may want to record and hold this one for the second movie coming out this weekend. This was as super fun and cute movie about family, coping with grief, and love. Get a blanket, a coffee, and settle in for a good time!

A DICKENS OF A HOLIDAY

Kristoff Polaha, Brook D'Orsay

In the town of Dickens is a young lady who is the director of the towns play in honor of their namesake. She has been through a rough patch but directing is her dream. As her leading Scrooge is taken out of commission, she has to ask a big time star who she knew in Highschool to help.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

POSITIVES: The chemistry between Jake and Cassie is incredible. They work so well together. The goings on behind the scene of the play is so much fun to watch.

This was a fantastic movie not only filled with amazing actors but with a great storyline. The writers really drove home the point of how a person with good intentions can still be a scrooge to his loved ones. How Jake overcomes his inner scrooge is perfect!! I thing you should put on your comfy pajamas and your night cap and settle down for a fun, endearing movie!!!!

A ROYAL QUEENS CHRISTMAS

Megan Park, Julian Morris

When the choir director loses her piano player, one just happens to appear to help out but as they learn more about each other, they fall in love and then she finds out he is royalty.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? yes

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Very refreshing to hear the New York accent! I have never been there so I am not an expert but you could hear it and feel it and I loved it!

You know I am not fond of Royal movies and most have been done time and time again. While this one is the cliche prince avoiding his life falls in love with American girl, this one was very well acted and believable. Julian is a great addition to the Hallmark family. Colin and DeeDee's chemistry was palpable and it was fun to watch! I loved the duchess as well, not mean and vindictive but caring and kind. Dr. Quinn also has a great character change! ;)

Definitely on the list of movies to watch this year!

POSITIVES: Well, for me, hearing about Godwink's are wonderful as I am a full on lover of Jesus! I love the spiritual aspect, the community building, the love of friendship and helping.

This is a good hearted movie that makes you feel good and happy for all the right reasons. There was chemistry, there was great messages!!! I would highly recommend this movie!

SISTER SWAP

Ashley Williams, Kimberly Williams-Paisley

A continuation or actually the other sisters view of Sister Swap. We get to see how Meg deals with the event of her sisters cafe, getting to know new people, and figuring out what is next for her.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? yes

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: Again, the William sisters are so much fun to watch. This one in particular had some amazing ideas of how to help during the holidays, how many people are alone this time of year and need a little extra love.

This was another great movie. I was super happy to see how much community help was in this one and how much loneliness was on display in different people lives for different reasons. Such a tough time of year. I didn't feel the chemistry between Meg and Joe at first but it did grow which was fun! I think this is another one to watch!!

SUGAR PLUM TWIST

Jamie Gray Hyder, Laura Rosguer

A New York ballerina returns home as her dream is to choreograph in her hometown to be near to family but while she chases that dream, she meets a rising dancer who dreams to be a star. Together, they learn more about themselves, about dance, and about being authentically you.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: I am a sucker for dance movies of all kinds and this hits the spot. It was tastefully done, great acting and dancing, and love the Mexican/Latino culture that is woven in this.

I think this movie hits home with how dreams can change or expand, how you should never compare yourself to others because you are the only you, and how you should fight for your dreams. Never give up!

I would recommend this especially if you wish you could dance like myself :)

THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE 2: Deck those Halls

Robert Buckley, Jonathan Bennett, Brad Harder, Ana Ayora

A continuation of the Christmas House where the two brothers are raised in a house that becomes known as the Christmas House. Only this time, it becomes a competition between the two brothers!

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? all

Were there parents in Florida? No

POSITIVES: The way this movie was done was hilarious. You see candids and almost "gags" of the actors. The brothers fight/bond is amazing and leaves us all dreaming we had a brother like that! I love how different they are yet how much alike they are. And Jake steals the show. He is portrayed as this wise man and he truly is!

I would definitely recommend both these movies, first and second. Sure, there is a gay couple but move on folks, this is 2021. I find them so endearing and so relatable. I love how Hallmark is showing the troubles that all of us go through, not just us "straight white christians" but all human beings. Well done!

CHRISTMAS FOR KEEPS

Christa B Allen, Meghan Gardiner, Everick Golding, Ryan Rottman, Marielle Scott, Ashley Newbrough, Cardi Wong

A group of friends from Highschool join together when their favorite teacher passes away to ensure his legacy goes on through his Christmas traditions. In doing so, they heal from past hurts and realize their potential as adults.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? no

Was there an event? yes

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? no

POSITIVES: Teachers! There are some teachers out there who really are that incredible. I am sure we all have one.

Friends growing up coming together is incredible. I think that some of us wish we had that. I know I have two friends I am in contact with, however, we are not close. That is why we love these movies. They bring us things we dream we had. This movie may not be my favorite but it is so worth a watch! When you have so many different main characters you are bound to connect with at least one of their stories!!! Such great lessons, love, and real-ness.

"I cannot promise you that we can put you back together again, they way you used to be. You will never be the same, and that's ok. But I can promise you the person we will find  along the way will be incredible. Probably even more incredible than he used to be."

- wow!!! This is what should be said instead of always trying to fix someone who is hurting. The writer of this movie NAILS it!!!!

'TIS THE SEASON TO BE MERRY

Rachael Leigh Cook, Travis Van Winkle

A writer has written an incredible true life romance novel that is set to be released with great anticipation only... it is not true life. As she tries to rewrite the book, she realizes her rules about love may not work.

THE TRUE HALLMARK ?'s:

Was there snow? yes

Was there a first kiss attempt? Kind of but not really, just a moment

Was there an event? no

Who had the Christmas Spirit? everyone

Were there parents in Florida? no

****RED TRUCK ALERT!!!

POSITIVES: This is such a fun movie with great actors and a great storyline filled with fun, laughter, and heartfelt moments. The set is great. Top notch!

Again, the acting and chemistry in this movie move this one on to the top of my list!!! I will be watching this again soon! I definitely think you need a peppermint late, a warm blanket, and a comfy space to sit down and enjoy! You can not go wrong with this one!!!!
